銅版画は鏡のような存在である。銅版に風景をうつし、境界面（Reflection surface）を通して立ち現れてくるものは様々な層を内包しています。
銅版画特有のインクの重なりからなる物質のレイヤー。描かれた場所が持っている歴史と政治という現実のレイヤー。
作品が持つ真空のような空間から生まれる表象のレイヤー。そして、展覧会を私という過去のレイヤーと鑑賞者という現在のレイヤーが出会う場所にしたいと思います。

まだまだ気軽に外出できない時節柄ですが、ご高覧いただければ幸いです。

An intaglio print is like a mirror.
When a landscape is transferred onto a copper plate, what emerges from the plate’s surface of reflection contains various layers:: overlapping layers of ink unique to intaglio printmaking,
layers of the depicted area’s historical and political reality, layers of representation created from a vacuum like space of the work itself.
Ultimately, my aim is to make this exhibition a place where past layers of myself and the current layers of viewers will meet.

Although we are currently in a time of social distancing, it is my great pleasure to exhibit for your viewing.
